Career Post: Museum Curator

Museum curators are responsible for setting up and putting together art exhibitions, as well as managing and recording all the artwork kept in the museum. It's their job to know a lot about the artwork they are displaying, as well as organizing events and securing donors for their museum.

Most curators have a master's or doctorate in art history or museology. NYU, Columbia, and UC Berkeley have good art history programs, and University of Delaware and Baylor University have good museology programs. Curators usually also need to have a few years of experience working in a museum before they reach the title of curator.
