Dan Kanach Lunchtime Lecture

I thought Kanach's disctinction between art and design was really interesting, and how, as a designer, he has to find the interesting middle ground between making something intuitive and thought-provoking.

When Kanach was walking us through the process of how he became a designer, I noticed how each of his experiences slowly helped build toward his career as a designer.He slowly picked up the necessary skills during each step of his life, rather than sprint straight to his career. I also liked what he said about how other artists are meant to be people you can learn from rather than people you compare yourself to.
