Project 7(?) Process Post

This project was mostly to test my ability to make comics quickly. Coach Hall suggested that I shoot for six comics instead of five, and to achieve this, I decided to make some comics that didn't have to do with aliens. This allows me to be more flexible with my thinking and hopefully allow me to come up with comic ideas faster. I also wanted to focus more on perspective and depth, and it's been a tough challenge balancing composition with simplicity. For my later comics in this project, it's helped me to have a defined foreground, middle ground, and background to keep things dynamic yet readable.

Although I'm making decent progress, I probably plan to stay late after school one day to finish up these comics. I hit a really good stride on the first few workdays, but once I ran out of ideas, I wasn't as productive in class and fell behind. For my next project, I plan to sit down and come up with my ideas beforehand so I can devote all my class time to drawing.
